The Log Farm
Weekend Adventures at The Log Farm
Happy Thursday Everyone!
I want to introduce to my new favourite hidden gem in Ottawa – The Log Farm!!! I learned about the Farm from a fellow Ottawa instagrammer, Sarah from Motherhood Unhinged (you should go check her out because she’s awesome and a total inspiration).
Maddy loves farm animals, so when I seen that not only could you pet the animals but you could feed them as well, the Farm went to the top of my must see list!

Animals at The Log Farm
Kittens!
To get to the main part of the farm we had to walk about half a kilometer down a farm road where we were greeted by two adventurous kittens! Yup this was going to be a good trip.
Farm Animals (also known as Moo’s, Baa’s, Neigh Neigh’s, and Ducks)
Once we convinced Maddy to move past the kittens (and that took some coaxing), the farm animals were up next. Sheep, goats, cows and horses (oh my)! All were super friendly and easy to pet. They also have chickens that roam the farm, along with pigs and ducks that were equally adorable.
Hay Mountain & Slide
This is such a great idea! A hay mountain with a built in slide. Maddy was too little to climb the hay herself but she must have gone down the slide at least 50 times.
Saving the best for last…Farm Hoppers
I have seen these bouncing toys before but this is the first time Maddy tried them and they were a complete success. I think we spent 25% of our time at the farm in this little field with the farm hoppers. Maddy would circulate between the different animals and finally landed on the black and white cow as her favourite. (One of these cow’s now calls our backyard home. You can find them on amazon for a great price :).
Thank you Log Farm for an amazing morning and keeping are little one entertained for hours (we were there for 2 hours). We will be back soon!
